The Events of Judgement Day

Most of us must have given thought sometime in their life about what is really going to happen on the judgment day (Yaum-ul-Qiyaama). The judgment day matter is very serious and thought provoking since it won't be like our normal any day presence in a court where one can hide or confuse the truth. Rather that day, everything will be presented in a crystal clear way. Even one's organ will talk and confess and be witness against individuals for those who are untruthful in their statement to Allah(SWT). There won't be any where to hide or seek help but from Allah(SWT) whose might and power would be apparent to all His beings on that day.

Our life of this world is a constant struggle against the material desires. This world according to Quran is decorated with material beauty that is nothing but a mirage and test of our believe during our submission to Allah(SWT).

That which is on earth we have made but as a glittering show for the earth, in order that We may test them - as to which of them are best in conduct. (Al-Kahaf:7)

When the veil is lifted, then the people will realize that they were actually living in a false 'Matrix' reality wasn't just limited to their physical senses of their worldly existence, rather there was much more to it. However, after truth becomes apparent, the door of repentance will be closed forever and there won't be any acceptance of the faith after that unless there was some before hand.

Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!). Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire!. Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight!(At-Takathur: 5-7)

One must remember that on the day of judgment, every individual will be responsible for his/her own action and no one else will bear the burden of one's sin but his own-self.

No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another (Al-Isra:15)

The scale (meezan) will be brought on the day of judgment for measuring the weight of individual's deeds. One's deeds will only be accounted for if one came along with the believe in "Tawheed" or oneness if God along with the believe in the accountability on the day of judgment. If that element is missing, than the entire book of deed of that individual will be thrown away without accounting any of his life long list of deed.

They are those who deny the Signs of their Lord and the fact of their having to meet Him (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works, nor shall We, on the Day of Judgment, give them any weight.(Al-Kahaf:105)

However, for those who meet the minimum requirement of being judged, the weight of their deeds will be measured as per their intention. All the good deeds that they have performed during their lives will be credited to his account and all the bad deeds will be debited . If the resultant stays positive, that individual will pass the test and will be awarded paradise otherwise will be thrown into the hell fire for as long as Allah(SWT) wills.

And verily, We shall recount their whole story with knowledge, for We were never absent (at any time or place). The balance that day will be true (to nicety): those whose scale (of good) will be heavy, will prosper. Those whose scale will be light, will be their souls in perdition, for that they wrongfully treated Our signs. (Al-Araf: 7-9)

The criteria of the measurement of good and deeds will be so strict that even if a person's tiny bit of either deed good/bad, will be put on the scale and would be accounted for.

We shall set up scales of justice for the Day of Judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with unjustly in the least, and if there be (no more than) the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it (to account) and enough are We to take account.(Al-Anbia:47)

Now the onus is upon us to realize what we want to do in this world and how should we struggle to improve our deeds so that we will pass the ultimate test of this life and be successful in the here after.
